This show, though all shows are special, will always carry a special place in my heart, as it allowed me to combine my strong faith in the Lord with my love for the community theatre, an activity I have come to know well, and love even more the more I do it. What better way to minister to the community than to do something you love to present the message?

Plot Summary and History

PILGRIMS. Combine the movies "Princess Bride" and "Wizard of Oz" and you’ve got this incredible dramatic experience. The musical traces the classic allegoricaljourney of Christian, Faithful and Hopeful from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. Along the way there are battles to be fought with Worldly Wise, Lord Luxury, Apollyon, The Giant of Doubting Castle, and many others. This is a unique outreach opportunity you won’t want to miss. Pilgrims, with book and score by Wayne Wright, has been developed from the story and characters found in the book Pilgrims Progress by John Bunyan. Deception, injustice, tragedy, and success are all part of this unique dramatic experience.
