I have graced the stage there in several Community
Theatre Productions as a member of the
Memorial Theatre Company of Valparaiso, Indiana
I love the theatre. Whenever my life seems confusing, I can seek refuge in the stage...especially in the realm of Musical Theatre. Given half a chance, I'll spend endless hours playing the cast albums from shows like "Phantom of the Opera," "The Music Man" and "West Side Story," among others, transporting myself out of one life and into another.
I'm also just as apt to play things up on a stage itself. From campfire skits in Boy Scouts, to school productions of Shakespeare, to my occassional venturing into Community Theatre, I love to be on stage. It's one of the few times I can be overly dramatic, and not get yelled at for it! I am passionate about all aspects of theatre: acting, singing, scene design, costume constuction, make-up, directing, playwrighting... I want to do it all. Though I am not a theatre arts major, I really love it.
